Dear John

No matter how far two souls are from one another.. if they are made for each other and they believe it.. they will meet (again) somewhere.. someday.. somehow..
Falling in love comes in different ways. It doesn't need a long time to develop. It is about your feelings towards the one you love. If you love someone, it is not about the time you spend together. It is about how you spend your time together. Distance doesn't matter for people who are truly in love.

Dear John is about two persons, John and Savannah, who fell in love but didn't have much time to be together. They exchanged letters to know about what's happening to them while they are far away from each other. After some time, the girl got engaged with another man and so the guy burned all of the letters that he kept and continued in the army until he got a message that his father was sent to the hospital because of stroke.

There's something I wanna tell you. After I got shot, you wanna know the very first thing that entered my mind? Before I blacked out? Coins. I'm eight years old again on a tour of the U.S. Mint. I'm listening to a guy explain how coins are made. How they're punched out of sheet metal. How they're rimmed and beveled. How they're stamped and cleaned. And how each and every batch of coin are personally examined just in case any of them slipped though with the slightest imperfection. That's what popped into my head. I'm a Coin of the United States Army. I was minted in the year 1980. I've been punched from sheet metal. I've been stamped and cleaned. My edges have been rimmed and beveled. But now I have two small holes in me. I'm no longer in perfect condition.
So there's something else I wanna tell you. Right before everything went black, you wanna know the very last thing that entered my mind? You.
 - John Tyreke (Message to his father)

John went to the hospital and made a letter to his father. He read it to him. His father died.
He then went to Savannah's place and talked about what happened before and why she got married to another man. Savannah married one of their friends who had an autistic child and is suffering cancer. Savannah's husband eventually died.

I'll see you soon then?.. Say it back.
When I say it, you say it, remember?..
John, just say it.
-Savannah (To John while he leaves)

Savannah asked John if she'll see him again. They always say "See you soon then" before parting. John didn't answer and said goodbye.

The last part of the film showed John walking with his bicycle and saw Savannah in the coffee shop.

The problem with time, I've learned, whether it's those first two weeks I got to spend with you, or the final two months I got to spend with him, eventually time always runs out. I have no idea where you are out there in the world, John. But I understand that I lost the right to know these things long ago. No matter how many years go by, I know one thing to be as true as ever was - I'll see you soon then.
-Savannah (Letter to John after he left her)

Life of Pi

Life of Pi|

One of the movie that is hard to make a review.
In just a snap, in just a blink of an eye … he lost EVERYTHING.

When I watched the trailer, I didn't expect that the movie itself would be more that what I expect it to be. It was indeed an unpredictable one.

I liked how the movie was done, watching it feels like you were really there. The graphics, the lines and effects it was all wonderful. The cinematography was great as well.

Who would have thought of a tiger and human living together for almost 3 months or so? A tiger on your side in the midst of the ocean believing that it could be you he’ll have as his last food. To train a tiger to be the lead of the role? It takes a lot of hard work, patience and effort to put up this one of a kind movie.

As for my perception, it did not make me believe in God,(as what the movie promised) cause I already do. But it made me realize and understand the love of God for us.

The movie is quite long and there are parts that you might find boring , but its all worth it. I guarantee that it is.

Pi did everything in able to survive, in able to feed Richard Parker. A tiger whom he thought a friend and living with him having his life at risk.

How far can your faith take you?

Donday: Korean Barbecue Buffet for P299

Korea has indeed invaded the Philippines. Aside from the Korean dramas to Kpop that many of us enjoy, we Filipinos are also influenced by Korean food. I myself is an enthusiast of the Korean culture, almost everything about the country is fascinating. But one thing I would always give credit to is to their food. The way they make their food exquisite, spicy, scrumptious and at the same time very healthy. I have come to appreciate a lot of Korean food such as the staple ramyun, bibimbap, kimbap and tteokboki but one that really became popular is the samgyeopsal or the Korean BBQ. Should I say it is my favorite Korean food next to bibimbap? Yes.

Snatcher Attack

Poverty is the mother of crime. -Marcus Aurelius
Why do people commit crimes? Is it really necessary to do those things? Don't they think of their victims?..
I was on my way home when I witnessed, for the first and hopefully the last time, someone get victimized by a snatcher. A calm, fast, and silent attack by the snatcher made my fellow passenger lose her mobile phone in an instant.

Like Stars on Earth

LIKE STARS ON EARTH | Movie

With proper education, CARING and UNDERSTANDING, a child that has a difficulty in doing such things, soon he will improve.

At the first part of the movie, I find Ishaan as a cute boy. He takes life less serious. He enjoy and appreciate small things that others don't pay attention to.  He is fond.

But it all changes when the story goes on. His life suddenly changed.
A boy named Ishaan who has difficulty in reading and writing. Through his eyes, the letters are dancing. His teachers, classmates and even his parents misinterpret him. They see him as a boy who is dumb, lazy, fool and the like.
His parents has been receiving complaints from him in school, neighbors.. almost everywhere. So they decided to send him to a boarding school. Ishaan hesitated, but his father insisted.
He had a difficult time to live in the boarding school. He felt that he had been rejected. Same as it goes, he remained the same until one day Ram Shankar Nikumbh enters the scene.

Pitch Perfect

Pitch Perfect| Movie

Let's take singing to a higher level! :)

Watched this last night with my brothers. They told me that this is better than High School Musical. Oh well, it did not fail me.

The story is about the girl named Becca who doesn't have any interest in going to college. She had an agreement with her dad that if she joined a club and gained friends, he'll send her to LA.

So she joined one, the BARDEN BELLAS. A girl group of a cappella singers. (They don't use any musical instrument, all the noise comes from their mouths) The bellas take on their male rivals. Aubrey, the leader of the group consistently insists to use the same set list the group has been using for years. But Beca, slashes it off.
